Aldi Autumn Trifle Recipe


  • half of Aldi Madeira Sponge Loaf cubed and just enough to cover base of bowl
  • 200g Mixed Berries
  • 150g Blackberries
  • 1 packet Strawberry Jelly
  • 750g Custard 1 1/2 cartons
  • 600ml Double Cream 2 x 300ml tubs
  • 1tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Figs, blackberries, almonds, mixed berries, dark chocolate, honey to drizzle Optional toppings


  • Add all the cubes of trifle to cover the bottom of a glass trifle bowl. Sprinkle the mixed berries and blackberries over the top of the sponge.
  • Make up the jelly according to the packet instructions and pour over the sponge and fruit. Place in the fridge to set fully.
  • Once fully set pour over the custard layer and whip up the double cream until nice and stiff.
  • Layer the cream on the top of the custard gently with a fork or pipe it on. Use a fork to smooth the cream all over. Add some fresh fruit, nuts and chocolate to the top and drizzle with a little honey to finish.


You can vary up the fresh fruits according to the season you are in and the toppings and jelly flavour also.  Enjoy
